Cool post, and I looove google cal!
Just found this after adding you on twitter :)

I have gcals for my website (events in Perth, several calendars) and personal. Use the email reminders, but didn't use sms, so thanks for the push on that! I just added mobile no, and literally one second later I got the verification code, technology, love it :D
I put a lot of my health stuff in my personal calendar, but maybe I'll make it separate. Like you I have moved around a lot and haven't got a clue where all my records are!!

I copy events from my enjoyperth calendar into my personal calendar. Even just as ideas of things to do in the future.

Snap! I've been thinking for a while about posting on my favourite web 2.0 apps and I keep coming back to Google Calendar. Much as I love a whole lot of other apps as well, Google Calendar is the only one I've managed to get my partner to adopt. Everything else I try to push on her she has found completely uninspiring, but Google Calendar has now taken centre-stage in our familiy's scheduling, replacing writing on the kitchen splashback with a whiteboard marker (we still do that for shopping lists though). Google Calendar is now the ultimate authority: if there's nothing in there, it means we're free and either party is fully authorised to book something in.

I am inspired.

I have my GCal set up but I so rarely use it, I love the idea of a health cal and you are right I didn't realise that you can set SMS reminders. Something I will go and use now!

A little organisation in my life certainly won't hurt.

Good post. I have an interesting time synching my work, personal, children's schedules. I do this with a multitude of gadgets, devices, mobiles that I take to and from work/home. But I did discover @ work the other day that I can access Google Calendar - now will have to figure out if I can sync work's Outlook, and protect other people's privacy - colleagues at work who send me meeting requests etc.

I have seen some people oversharing on Google Calendars. I don't need to know *everything* someone is doing in their life ;-)
